UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Nominations are being accepted through March 22 for the 2024 Sustainability Awards, spearheaded by Penn State Sustainability and the Student Sustainability Advisory Council. These awards aim to help recognize the unwavering commitment of the University's community members to sustainability, personal integrity, and the embodiment of Penn State's mission and values.
The 2024 Sustainability Awards — including the John Roe Sustainability Impact Awards, the Student Sustainability Advisory Council Tree Award, and the Pennsylvania Environmental Resource Consortium (PERC) Campus Sustainability Champion Award — underscore Penn State's comprehensive commitment to sustainability. These awards honor the myriad contributions of Penn State students across the campuses and beyond. The Sustainability Awards specifically encourage recognizing Penn State students who exemplify a dedication to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and uphold the University's ethos. This inclusive approach to nominations cultivates a rich and varied candidate pool, mirroring the broad spectrum of Penn State's expansive community.
