UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Penn State University Libraries’ spring 2023 semester operating hours across Penn State campuses have been posted on the University Libraries’ hours and locations webpage.

The University Libraries’ hours follow the Penn State academic calendar, so all locations listed on the hours and locations page will be closed Monday, Jan. 16, in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

In addition, most libraries will operate on a reduced schedule for spring break beginning on Friday, March 3, through Sunday, March 12. Most also will be closed on Saturdays and Sundays of spring break, March 4-5 and March 11-12.

Hours of operation vary by campus location and are subject to change because of winter weather and other conditions, so library users are encouraged to check the website prior to their visit. The University Libraries website is kept up to date as hours of operation change.

The libraries serving Penn State’s law schools and College of Medicine operate under separate schedules. For those locations’ spring hours information, call the following numbers: Dickinson Law, 717-531-8626; Penn State College of Medicine, 717-240-5267; and Penn State Law, 814-865-8861.

Extensive online resources — including access to more than 5.4 million online items in the Libraries’ catalog, e-journals, e-books and numerous digital collections — and the Ask a Librarian service will remain available during spring break to assist library users.

Research services are available on either a self-serve or by-appointment basis, from curated subject guides, course guides and how-to guides to research data services.

Researchers interested in visiting the Eberly Family Special Collections Library are encouraged to plan their research visit several days in advance.
