University Park, Pa. -- Beginning Tuesday July 27, the area around the former Phi Delta Theta fraternity house (located near the intersection of Burrowes and Pollock roads at the east end of the IST Building) will be closed permanently. The area is being closed to allow contractors to begin the abatement and demolition process. All vehicles must be removed from this area by the close of business on Monday July 26. Any vehicles remaining in the lot on Tuesday July 27, will be removed at the owners expense. The building is in a significant state of disrepair, and repairing or renovating it would cost millions of dollars.
