University Park, Pa. -- Penn State Transportation Services, along with Fullington Trailways, is once again offering its weekend bus service to New York City. The Big Apple Express will be available every weekend classes are in session starting on Thursday, Aug. 27 and will take passengers right into the city.
The bus leaves State College on Thursdays and Fridays at 2:30 p.m. and arrives at 7:15 p.m. at the Port Authority, just in time for a New York City dinner or Broadway show. The service is available to students, faculty, staff, and the public for $43 one-way and $86 roundtrip. On Sundays, buses return at 5 p.m. and arrive in State College at 9:30 p.m. Departure and arrival times may vary due to weather or traffic conditions.
For those in New York who want to spend a weekend in Happy Valley, the Express returns to State College on Thursdays and Fridays from Port Authority at 8 p.m. This will be helpful to those who would like to visit Penn State and the surrounding community for the weekend. On Sundays, buses leave State College at 11:00 a.m. and arrive in the city around 3:45 p.m.
