UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- Campus events will remain on schedule on Sunday, Jan. 20, unless otherwise noted by individual event organizers, following Saturday evening's inclement weather. As always, those traveling on campus should do so with care.

Current weather forecasts call for less accumulation than earlier anticipated, with 3-4 inches of snowfall on campus as of 9 p.m. Jan. 19. Forecasters expect snow to change to sleet or rain starting around 10 p.m. Penn State's Office of Physical Plant will continue to clear and treat campus roads, lots and walkways overnight and through Sunday.

Forecasts call for temperatures to drop through the day on Sunday and into the single digits by 8 p.m., so travelers on campus should remain alert for isolated areas of ice on walkways and roads. Penn State University Police and Public Safety reminds all students, faculty, staff and visitors to exercise caution during inclement weather, and to leave extra time for travel. Individuals are encouraged to take responsibility for their own safety, and should use their own best judgment when considering traveling to campus during inclement weather.

A Midnight Clear remains in effect for all campus surface parking lots through Monday morning (more information is available here). Additional resources and general information, including a list of official information sources that will keep you informed during winter weather, are available here.
