ParkMobile daily parking reservations available for Eisenhower Deck

Day-of reservations can now be made until 10 a.m.

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Penn State Transportation Services has announced that ParkMobile daily parking reservations for the Eisenhower Deck at the University Park campus can now be made through 10 a.m. the day of the desired reservation date.

Available to visitors, faculty, staff and students for $10 per day on weekdays during the fall and spring semesters, daily parking reservations provide all-day access to the Eisenhower Deck between 4 a.m. and midnight on the reserved date. Reservations can be made beginning one week in advance at Penn State's ParkMobile website through 10 a.m. the day of the desired date or until reservations have sold out. The number of available daily reservations is limited and fluctuates based on permit holder usage, special events, and facility maintenance needs. Select dates may be unavailable, and the program may be discontinued at any time.

Hourly parking using the ParkMobile app (zone no. 95110) continues to be available at Eisenhower Deck on weekday evenings after 4 p.m. and all day on Saturdays and Sundays.

License plate information entered at purchase must match the vehicle driven to campus on the reservation date. If a different vehicle must be driven, users must contact ParkMobile Member Support through the ParkMobile website or app (Settings -- Chat Support) to request a vehicle change for that reservation.

The launch of daily parking reservations is in response to recent Eisenhower Deck usage trends that show regular space availability despite the assignment of most Yellow F faculty/staff parking permits. While the other on-campus parking decks employ gates to help regulate the number of users, a reservation approach is needed at Eisenhower Deck to apply strict usage controls for additional parkers and ensure that assigned permit holders continue to have daily parking access. Though some faculty and staff permit holders assigned to other parking areas may be interested in switching to a permit for Eisenhower Deck, the overallocation of permits could result in the deck reaching capacity and the need to relocate permit holders if usage increases. The daily reservation option allows for additional users to access the facility during peak demand hours while maintaining the ability to quickly halt that additional access if permit holder and other facility demands reduce the number of available spaces. Space availability will be monitored regularly to ensure that access remains available for Yellow F permit holders.

Reservations may not be purchased by individuals with revoked campus parking privileges or be assigned to a vehicle associated with them. If this occurs, the vehicle will be ticketed and towed, and a refund will not be issued for the reservation.
