Pasquerilla Spiritual Center to host 'Transforming the Human Spirit' exhibit

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- Buddhism for Peace, and the Center for Spiritual and Ethical Development will present the exhibit "Transforming the Human Spirit: From a Culture of Violence to a Culture of Peace" from Friday, April 10, until Sunday, April 19, in the Pasquerilla Spiritual Center main lobby.

The exhibit explores nuclear weapons, war and poverty, and how to transform the human spirit through dialogues, education, engagement, courage and hope. The mission is to bring together a diverse community in order to spread awareness related to issues of violence and how to better ourselves for the future. There will also be an opening ceremony from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday, April 12, featuring speakers from Buddhism for Peace and 3rd Way Collective to engage in a dialogue surrounding these issues of global violence. Refreshments will follow

The exhibit is sponsored by Soka Gakkai International, Buddhism for Peace, and the Center for Spiritual and Ethical Development.
