UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Members of the community are encouraged to attend an interactive community discussion on Feb. 6, in the Community Room of the State College Municipal Building (243 S. Allen St.) to provide input on the State College’s strategic planning project’s framework, including the draft vision statement and critical success factors.

As Penn State students are active members of the State College community, the borough is interested in having students engaged in these discussions. Interested students are encouraged to attend one of two identical sessions on Feb. 6, the first will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. and the second from 7 to 9 p.m.

In late 2018, the Borough of State College began a strategic planning process to articulate the long-term vision of the community and provide direction for the organization. In December, the borough council developed a draft vision statement and identified six critical success factors, those things that must go well in order for the borough’s vision to be realized. A component of the process includes opportunities to gather feedback from the community.

For those residents who cannot attend a community discussion session, input and feedback can be provided online at www.statecollegepa.us/engage in the borough’s strategic plan project.
