UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Penn State students at the University Park campus will receive new id+ cards during re-carding events between March 27 and April 7. The re-carding process will be conducted in smaller, alphabetically aligned groups based on last name.
New id+ cards will be distributed for University Park students through the id+ Office in the HUB-Robeson Center.
Anyone who received a new id+ card after May 10, 2022, will not need to participate in the re-carding event.
The events will help conclude a University-wide re-carding effort that began in fall 2022.
Alphabetic-based groupings have been assigned to specific days over the two-week re-carding period for students to pick up their new id+ card. Groupings are assigned based on the spelling of the last name.
Outdated cards must be exchanged for a new id+ card. A re-carding fee will be charged for cards not presented during the process.
The re-carding schedule for students at University Park is as follows:
First letter of last name (Dates)
- A – F (March 27 and April 3)
- G – L (March 28 and April 4)
- M – R (March 29 and April 5)
- S – Z (March 30 and April 6)
March 31 and April 7 will be open for all University Park-based students to pick up a new id+ card, regardless of grouping.
The id+ Office is located at 020 HUB-Robeson Center, which is on the lower level of the building.
The new id+ card now enables contactless transactions where accepted. More information about the id+ card and LionCash can be found at idcard.psu.edu.
University Park faculty and staff will receive new id+ cards via USPS mail.
