Penn State Student Legal Services has relocated their offices to 248 E. Calder Way, Suite 303.
Student Legal Services, a division of Student Affairs, protects the rights of students and provides students with access to the judicial system. The services they provide are free and available to University Park students.
In the new location, Student Legal Services will continue to provide the same assistance, including advice, representation, referrals, education and other legal services. The office has four attorneys as well as three staff members and law student assistants.
Student Legal Services is a great resource for students who need help with a variety of legal issues. Just a few types of cases where they have helped students through consultation or representation include landlord-tenant matters, name changes and summary traffic citations. Student Legal Services can also help with document preparation and notary services. When they are not able to assist with a case directly, they can provide referral information to help students find the legal assistance they need.
To meet with Student Legal Services, students can make an appointment by filling out an online intake form or visit during their drop-in hours.
