UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- Spring Semester 2015 has ended, and thousands of Penn State seniors have graduated and moved on to start their post-college adventures; while at the University's locations across the Commonwealth, thousands more continue their academic progress. We’re heading into summer at Penn State, so here’s a 1980s-era snapshot of students enjoying the warm weather on the East Halls quad of the University Park campus.
In addition to Maymester, which began May 11 and runs through June 10, the first of two Summer Sessions will begin May 18, with the second beginning July 1.
Though classes are more intense due to the compressed time schedule, there are plenty of opportunities for summer activities, including swimming at the McCoy Natatorium, baseball games at Medlar Field beginning June 19, the Central Pennsylvania Festival of the Arts from July 9 to 12, and Ag Progress Days, held Aug. 18 to 20.
