UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Penn State University Police and Public Safety (UPPS), in partnership with Penn State Intercollegiate Athletics, will hold a “Cram the Cruiser” donation drive event benefiting Toys for Tots from noon to 2 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 1. The community-focused initiative aims to gather donations for local families in need during the holiday season.

Participants can drop off donations of new, unwrapped toys for children of all ages at two convenient locations: Medlar Field (Porter North parking lot) and the Bryce Jordan Center (in front of the ticket office). Penn State student-athletes from various sports will be present to meet and greet attendees supporting the event.

“We are grateful to partner with Intercollegiate Athletics for this significant event,” said Wesley Sheets, chief of University Police and Public Safety. “'Cram the Cruiser' goes beyond gathering donations; it unites our community to uplift those in need during the holiday season.”

Those who are unable to attend the event on Dec. 1 can still participate by dropping off donations at University Support Building 1 (University Police headquarters) or at the Athletics Administration Building now through 5 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 29.

“We believe in the power of community and the impact we can make together,” said Meighan Julbert, assistant athletic director for student-athlete development and enrichment. “This event is a wonderful opportunity for our student-athletes to engage with the community while helping to make a difference in the lives of local families. We encourage everyone to come out, meet our student-athletes, and contribute to this worthy cause.”

The “Cram the Cruiser” event is part of University Police and Public Safety's and Intercollegiate Athletics’ ongoing commitment to community service and outreach. All donations will go directly to local families in need this holiday season.
