UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Penn State World Campus students and staff volunteered in multiple cities in honor of the annual Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service. Penn Staters spent some of their weekends helping sort donations, organizing store shelves, and cleaning warehouse space.
Penn State World Campus is hosting a month-long "Acts of Service" initiative from Jan. 15 to Feb. 15. Students and staff are encouraged to participate in an act of service by volunteering for a local organization, donating gently used clothes or toys, or simply by doing a random act of kindness for another person. Check out some photos from Penn Staters who volunteered in Bellefonte and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
