UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — A group of Penn State World Campus students raised more than $17,000 during THON, a Penn State student-run philanthropy.

The members of Penn State World Campus Benefitting THON raised $17,653. The organization also sent two students to dance during the 46-hour event held Feb. 16-18 in the Bryce Jordan Center at Penn State's University Park campus.

Danielle Ray, an online MBA student from Hershey, Pennsylvania, was the oldest dancer, at age 50, during the Penn State student-run dance marathon.

Erica Armstrong is an undergraduate World Campus psychology student and made the more than 1,500-mile trip from her home in Saskatchewan, Canada.

First-year student Braden Fleagle was a Four Diamonds beneficiary as a teenager. Now, he returns to THON as a Penn State World Campus student studying health policy and administration. He raised $5,000 of Penn State World Campus Benefitting THON's total to help continue the services and opportunities he received in his time of need.
