Heard on Campus: Michael DelGrosso of DelGrosso Foods

“Better to do a few things well a thousand times than to do a thousand things poorly.”-- Michael DelGrosso, vice president, global sales and marketing, DelGrosso Foods, Tipton, Pennsylvania, America’s oldest family-owned producer of pasta sauce. DelGrosso shared the history of his family’s successful business and the adventure into the specialty pastas sauce market, with students who are part of the Graham Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership Studies program at Penn State York. The program focuses on entrepreneurial leadership. 

DelGrosso spoke as part of the speakers series. DelGrosso is a third-generation member of the DelGrosso family and has sought to maintain the company’s heritage and hometown appeal while growing its business beyond Pennsylvania borders.  He is the creator of the company’s break-through product line, La Famiglia DelGrosso, and has expanded DelGrosso products internationally.
