Speaker to share 'What Muslims Think about ISIS' Feb. 25 at Penn State York

YORK, Pa. — "What Muslims Think about ISIS" will be the topic of a presentation by Asheq Fazlullah, executive committee member of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), at noon on Thursday, Feb. 25, in the conference center of the Main Classroom Building at Penn State York. The program, which is free and open to the public, is sponsored by the Penn State York Diversity Committee.

Fazlullah, representing CAIR in the Philadelphia area, will share information about what more than 100 Muslim scholars from around the world have said about ISIS and its activities, and how the group’s actions are against the teachings of Islam. CAIR is a national civil rights advocacy group with its headquarters in Washington, D.C., and branches throughout the country.

Actively involved with the outreach program of CAIR-Philadelphia, Fazlullah has given presentations on current topics at other Penn State campuses.
