Biracial group encourages students
to share experiences
Jungmiwha Bullock, who goes by the nickname "Jummy," is the daughter
of an African American father and Korean mother. She also is a member of
BOTH (Blends of Traditional Heritages) an educational discussion group developed
by Penn State's Multicultural Resource Center and Counseling and Psychological
Services. The group is for biracial students who share a common African
heritage.
Major changes in store for users
of Pattee Library and Paterno Library
The new Paterno addition is scheduled to be turned over by the contractor
next month, and renovation work will begin on East Pattee.
New agreement promises lower fares
Travel Services recently entered into an agreement with United Airlines
for discounted pricing. This agreement, effective Sept. 1, is valid until
Aug. 31, 2000, and provides for a 10-percent discount for all University-funded
airline tickets purchased on United Airlines' domestic and international
flights.
