SERVICE DESK REQUEST:

For assistance or questions related to computers, phones, or the campus network, please complete the following steps:

  1. Visit http://alerts.its.psu.edu/location-s to see if the problem you are experiencing has already been reported
  2. Complete the "Additional Information/Details" field at the bottom of this page with the details of your issue or request.
  3. Click "Submit Form" at the bottom of this page

Support requests involving outages for mission critical functions such as immediate teaching needs, core infrastructure (campus network and servers), and telecommunications will receive urgent attention. Please allow a minimum of five (5) business days for completion of all other requests. We will try to accommodate requests as soon as possible within the constraints of the current workload. Requests with larger scopes may require more than five (5) days to complete. When a larger scope request is received, the IT staff will provide an estimated completion time for the request.

In order to meet your request needs, sufficient lead-time is required:

Equipment Reservation & Pickup = 0 Business Days
Media Commons Reservation = 0 Business Days
Equipment Delivery/Setup = 3 Business Days
Polycom Reservations (No Bridge Required) = 3 Business Days
Polycom Reservation (Bridge Required) = 5 Business Days
Events which require Media Service staff to be present for the duration of the event = 10 Business Days
Events which occur outside of NKITS normal hours of operation = 10 Business Days

Requests must be received no less than fourteen (14) days prior to the desired completion date. Projects with larger scopes may require more than fourteen (14) days to complete so please plan accordingly and allow sufficient time for project completion. Requests made in less than the required fourteen (14) days advance notice are not guaranteed and completion will depend upon the availability of the Marketing Staff. With the exception of the homepage, departments are responsible for maintaining their own website content.
