My BIRCWH research is about improving health and health services to rural women who experience intimate partner violence (IPV). I am utilizing qualitative and quantitative research methodology to explore the primary healthcare system’s response to women in rural communities who experience IPV, from the perspective of both patients and healthcare providers. I hope to eventually develop testable interventions aimed at improving health for this vulnerable population.
