ALTOONA, Pa. — Penn State Altoona’s history program will host the Blair County Historical Society for a series of regional history presentations throughout the fall. Lectures will take place in room 134 of the Hawthorn Building at 7 p.m. The series will include the following lectures:

  • “The Martinsburg Indian School”
    Wednesday, Sept. 20
    Presented by Jodi Stouffer and Frank Vitale IV
  • “White Ladies, Hairy Beasts, and Things that Go Bump in the Night – Urban Legends”
    Wednesday, Oct. 18
    Presented by Michael Allison
  • “Altoona in Photos 1968-1971 Part II – AHS and Railroad Areas before Urban Development”
    Wednesday, Nov. 15
    Presented by Michael Farrow
