Rhythms of Life Series at Penn State Behrend

12:00 PM - 1:00 PM / November 17, 2022

The Rhythms of Life Series at Penn State Behrend continues Nov. 17 with a free performance by The Barefoot Movement, a Nashville-based acoustic bluegrass band. The concert, which begins at noon in Bruno’s Café, is open to the public.

The Barefoot Movement — fiddler Noah Wall, mandolinist Tommy Norris and bassist Katie Blomarz — have been featured in Country Weekly Magazine, CMT Edge, Rollingstone.com and on the “Woodsongs Old-Time Radio Hour.” The group was a showcase artist at the International Bluegrass Music Association conference and was the first runner-up at the 2013 Telluride Bluegrass Festival’s New Band Competition.

The Rhythms of Life Series began in 2002 and features an array of cultural performers from all regions of the world. The series is produced by the Office of Educational Equity and Diversity Programs, with additional support by the Student Activity Fee.
