UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Beginning Oct. 28, the Research Informatics and Publishing department at Penn State University Libraries will offer three online workshops on big data analytics in cloud computing.
These workshops will introduce each of the listed cloud platforms and some ready-to-use tools for big data analytics and artificial intelligence/machine learning (AI/ML), such as document AI, predictive analytics, and image analysis for pattern recognition. The workshops will be taught by the Cloud Services team at Penn State with guest speakers from Microsoft (Azure), Amazon (AWS) and Google (GCP) and will include hands-on examples.
The workshops are open to Penn State undergraduate and graduate students, postdoctoral scholars, staff and faculty. Basic knowledge of cloud services is helpful but not required. To follow along with the demos for each session, a cloud account with the service providers will be needed: AWS (https://aws.amazon.com), Azure (https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/) and GCP (https://cloud.google.com).
Registration links are included for each workshop. If you need more information, contact repub@psu.edu.
