Still need to submit 2017 FSA claims?
As in prior years, the FSA debit card cannot be used to pay 2017 claims submitted after Dec. 31, 2017. Any reimbursement request for 2017 dates of service need to be submitted online via the Highmark FSA portal (www.highmarkblueshield.com) from Jan. 1 to March 31, 2018. Claims forms are also available by clicking here.
Any FSA balance still remaining as of April 1, 2018, will be carried over (up to $500) and added to the account holder’s 2018 FSA balance with HealthEquity and can be used for 2018 dates of service until exhausted.
Beginning Jan. 1, 2018, any FSA claims submitted for 2018 dates of service will be debited against the account holder’s 2018 FSA balance. The HealthEquity FSA debit card may also be used to pay 2018 claims.
