Penn State Berks document-shredding event furthers sustainability initiative

WYOMISSING, Pa. – Penn State Berks will host its 15th annual, on-site, document-shredding event on campus for faculty and staff from 9 to 11 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 18, in the Franco Building parking lot. 

Document shredding supports Penn State’s sustainability efforts by reducing the space required to store records that are no longer needed, and all shredded documents will be properly recycled.

In 2022, Penn State Berks redirected around 4,000 pounds of recyclable materials from landfills. Penn State Berks Is committed to implementing environmental measures, including a campus garden and community outreach projects.
