HERSHEY, Pa. — The 37th annual Children’s Miracle Network (CMN) Telethon raised a record-breaking $388,550 to benefit equipment, programs and research at Penn State Health Children’s Hospital. The event aired June 7 through 10 on WGAL8.
“Wow! We are in awe of our generous community,” shared Janette Migliori, whose daughter, Joella, was featured in the broadcast. “Joella has VACTERL Association (a grouping of birth defects) and other conditions. She visits the hospital weekly, and one of her favorite things is counting all of the miracle balloons on the equipment Children’s Miracle Network has purchased. Joella had 15 surgeries before she was six months old. She wouldn’t be alive today without Penn State Health Children’s Hospital and the resources CMN provides. From funding equipment like the ambulance she needed to programs like Child Life and Music Therapy, every dollar helps give kids the #GiftofGrowingup. Thank you.”
Gifts to the telethon were raised through a pre-event mailing, online donations and support from sponsors including the presenting sponsor, The GIANT Company, and Johnson Controls, The Hershey Company, Highmark, Donegal Insurance Group, Delta Development Group, PSECU, and Universal Media-Analytics.

Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals is a nonprofit organization that has affiliations with 170 children’s hospitals, including Penn State Children’s Hospital. Gifts raised locally through Children’s Miracle Network (CMN) fund equipment, patient programs, and pediatric research at Penn State Health Children’s Hospital, which is the only children’s hospital between Pittsburgh and Philadelphia fully equipped to treat the most severely ill children of central Pennsylvania.
