UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Movin’ On, Penn State’s annual student-run music festival, has a full in-person lineup set for April 29 — the first time in three years. The festival is held on the Intramural (IM) Fields on the University Park campus. Gates open at 3:30 and attendees must present a valid Penn State Student ID or government-issued ID to enter.

Movin' On is a free celebration intended to wish off all graduating students who are "movin' on" in their lives. This year's lineup also is supported by the Office of the President, as one of the class of 2020 commencement celebration activities. As part of the special celebration, Penn State Class of 2020 graduates and their guests are invited to attend Movin' On 2022.

The 2022 festival will include headliner Jack Harlow, Aminé, Fitz and the Tantrums and additional acts, including the Student Programming Association’s (SPA) sponsored act and Movin’ On’s 2022 "Battle of the Bands" winner. Movin’ On is funded through the student fee with the help of the University Park Allocation Committee (UPAC).

The SPA-sponsored act and "Battle of the Bands" winner will take the stage first and will be followed by LA-based band Fitz and the Tantrums, multi-platinum artists who quickly grew from independent upstarts to bonafide hitmakers through the release of their debut album, "Pickin' Up the Pieces." In 2019, Fitz and the Tantrums released their fourth full-length album, "All the Feels." The group’s biggest hit to date, “Handclap,” featured on their third album, "Fitz and the Tantrums," has logged more than 400 million global streams.

Aminé was propelled into the spotlight with the hit “Caroline,” which was featured on his 2017 full-length debut album "Good For You." The album impact upon arrival with XXL choosing him for a spot as one of its 2017 “Freshman Class” cover stars. Aminé found success again with his 2018 EP/LP/mixtape/album "ONEPOINTFIVE," which contained the viral track “Reel it in.” In 2020, Aminé released the album "Limbo," followed by "TWOPOINTFIVE" in November 2021. Between sets at Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza and beyond, Aminé has brought the energy to each of his shows.

Jack Harlow will close out Movin’ On. Harlow is one of the biggest hip-hop artists in the industry today, with Forbes declaring him to be "poised for hip-hop nobility." Harlow defies eras and sharpens a smooth signature style on his latest release, "That’s What They All Say," which features artists such as Big Sean, Lil Baby, and Adam Levine. This album included the six-time, platinum-certified, Grammy-nominated 2020 hit "What’s Poppin”; the Cole Bennett-directed music video catapulted the rapper into stardom. In 2022, Jack Harlow was featured in the latest "Fast & the Furious" film "F9," a sold-out national tour, and global hit "Industry Baby" with Lil Nas X.

Entering its 47th year, Movin’ On is an 18+ music festival that is free for all Penn State students. Movin’ On collaborates with the Student Programming Association (SPA), University Park Undergraduate Association (UPUA), and the Association of Residence Hall Students (ARSH) to bring the festival to campus each year.
