THON 2024 raises record-breaking $16.9 million

This year's fundraising total surpasses last year's record by nearly $2 million

The 2024 Penn State IFC/Panhellenic Dance Marathon (THON) has raised a record $16,955,683.63 for Four Diamonds at Penn State Health Children's Hospital. This surpasses THON 2023's record-breaking total of $15,006,132.46 by nearly $2 million.

More than 700 students danced and stood without sleep for 46 hours — from 6 p.m. Feb. 16 through 4 p.m. Feb. 18 — at the Bryce Jordan Center (BJC). 

As the world’s largest student-run philanthropy, THON raises millions of dollars each year for Four Diamonds, funding pediatric cancer research and supporting children and families fighting childhood cancer. Since 1977, THON has raised more than $219 million for Four Diamonds. To learn more about THON and its impact, visit thon.org.
