Penn State Berks Unity Day slated for Oct. 7

This year's theme is: 'Bring your home to Berks: Let's create our village.'

WYOMISSING, Pa. — Penn State Berks will hold its annual Unity Day celebration, the largest diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging (DEIB) event at the college, from 12:15 to 1:15 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 7, on the Perkins Student Center lawn. This year’s theme is "Bring your home to Berks: Let's create our village." All Unity Day activities are free and open to the public.

The event will showcase diversity across the campus, from people to services to majors, with an emphasis on student organizations. The Penn State Berks Step Team and Piscataway Nation Dancers, a Native American dance group, will perform. Activities will take place under the tent at the Perkins Plaza, rain or shine. Light refreshments will be served, featuring cuisine from different world regions.
